CREATOR & CHARITY
CREATOR & CHARITY
Marina Adams is best known for her dynamic abstract paintings in which her skillful use of color is combined with form to create a sense of movement and rhythm. Often large in scale, Adams’ practice draws inspiration from a range of subjects including textiles and ceramics, from the richly patterned fabrics of Uzbekistan to the Moorish tiles of the Alhambra Palace in Spain to Indigenous American female southwest pottery.
Stanley Whitney has been exploring the possibilities of color since the 1970s. His signature paintings feature stacked fields of vivid color separated by horizontal bands. His work strikes a dynamic balance of form and color, and is full of tension, rhythm, and visual energy.
