Originally hired as an American Sign Language tutor for Broadway director Kenny Leon, she was cast in the lead role of Children of a Lesser God, in which she won wide acclaim and a Tony nomination. Soon after Ridloff became a series regular as the fan-favorite Connie on The Walking Dead and was cast as Makkari in Marvel’s Eternals opposite Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani and Salma Hayek. In 2020 she received a 2020 BAFTA Breakthrough Award as one of the most promising new actors in film and television. Today she lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and their two boys.
