Fern Mallis, the award-winning creator of New York Fashion Week, is a legendary figure in the fashion industry, often hailed as the “Godmother of Fashion.” With a career spanning decades, she has held some of the industry’s most influential roles, including executive director of the CFDA and senior vice president of IMG Fashion. Today, she leads her global consulting firm, Fern Mallis LLC, serves on the FIT Foundation board, and continues to shape the industry as the host of the acclaimed Fashion Icons with Fern Mallis series at the 92NY, which has also been published as a successful book series. Throughout her career, Mallis has been honored with numerous accolades and lifetime achievement awards and remains a driving force in championing emerging designers and elevating the fashion world at large.
