Michael Bierut has been working as a graphic designer in New York for nearly fifty years, creating identities for the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the New York Jets, The Children’s Museum of Manhattan, and the Central Park Conservancy. 

Talia Cotton, a designer, founder, and native New Yorker, is recognized as an expert in the intersection of technology and design for clients ranging from Google and OpenAI to The New York Times. In 2022, Talia and Michael collaborated on the design of the brand identity for 92NY.

This 35-inch silk square turns the city itself into typography. The design weaves in places named in Hart’s “Manhattan” and nods to the iconic places that define the city — Madison Square Garden, the New York Public Library, MoMA, Penn Station, Grand Central, and 92NY. Notably, Ethan Hawke was nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of Hart in the 2025 Film Blue Moon.
